Dave Here I Am
Love hearing the birds chirping in the morning, seeing light enter my bedroom (unless it’s raining), running downstairs to eat breakfast, running back upstairs to take a shower, the feeling you get when going to school for the first time.
Loved playing with my toys, but now I’m too old for them. Loved sleeping in during summer, but time to stop slacking off.
Look at life as a race; breaks and rest are allowed, but the finish line has yet to be reached.

Love sitting at my computer on Sunday mornings, perusing pages at Arts and Letters Daily, finding things I had never known, reading everything on a 23 inch LCD screen (a blessing for these old eyes), shaking my head at the world’s complexities, the feeling you get when knowledge is its own reward.

Loved creating web pages for Pearson ALC, but soon will be webmaster no more. Loved typing DOS commands, but know very few now know what I mean.

Look at life as a web of complexity infinitely bigger than the ‘net; know the Earth matters more.

Love waking up with scraps of amazing dreams in my head, drinking morning coffee (especially with cream and Camembert cheese), making myself comfortable in a plush armchair on a day off and doing needlework, the feeling you get when you realize everything going its own unique way.

Loved gambling but now I prefer a more secure way of living.
Look at life as a four seasons; they will certainly replace each other from spring to fall, and this is the essence of nature.

Love waking up knowing it’s another page in my book. Being grateful for being alive, as I feel the sunshine slightly touching my skin. As I stretch myself out every muscle flexes and the soreness comes alive (thank god its rest day). They say” better be sore than sorry” and that’s when the feeling of achievement comes.

Loved being young and careless, mistaken but never judged, crazy but just enough to make them laugh.
Loved being wrong without consequences, whereas now every mistake is a scar to live with.

Look at life as a sentence in a book, you will never reach another chapter if you are still rereading last one.

Love waking up late in the mornings, locating my phone (first thing) wherever it is hiding, getting out of my bed only to fill my stomach up with something, watching Maury or Springer despite the bad acting, listening to music when it gets boring, the feeling you get when you own your time.

Loved keeping myself busy, but I am less productive now. Loved playing sports, but I am discovering a different focus now.

Look at life as an everlasting adventure of knowing yourself; ‘you’ are you today, but you never know if ‘you’ will still be you the next day.

Love the sound of my grandson’s voice loudly proclaiming my arrival at the ferry terminal,
“NANA”, (like everyone needs to know), his sheer excitement as he launches his little body
toward me like a missile, big squishy hugs, making all that troubles me completely
forgotten in that one instant.

Loved the stories we shared cuddled up together, but not hoarseness from reading aloud.

Love traveling in a sunny weekend summer, waking up early before sunrise and hitting the road as we see the orange and yellow rays of early morning sunshine, a delight and priceless moment to be held in our memories and think how blest we are to see the magnificent beauty of mother nature.
Love to see new places and exploring a new horizon of memories. If you can just fathom how wonderful is the experience by travelling, you can understand that time is not enough to explore firsthand the exquisite environment we have.
