A place for English 12 students from the Pearson Adult Learning Centre in New Westminster, BC, Canada to read work in progress, critique, and ask or answer questions (of other students and of the teacher).
What is the most important conflict in the story? How is that conflict resolved by the end? The most important conflict is between the action of the great-grandfather who took the boy to the county fair and the rules of the father who said they “mustn’t “go. The internal conflict was the boy’s parents said not to go but his great-grand father told him to go and he had to decide who to listen to. The great-grandfather’s action is caused by his “rebellious” and “adventurous spirit”, which is strongly against the family’s strict “rules and orders”. Apparently the great-grandfather followed his motto recklessly. His brave action had a great impact to the boy and the whole family and was admired by them. The conflict was resolved by the father agreed that he would have to take them to the fair next year.
It seems that we're required to post it before 8pm today, right? The reason we did it late was having a problem to log in. Sorry about that and please take this situation into consideration. Thanks!
Here's Tina's work for this question. She hadn't been invited to the English 12 blog! My mistake, I'm sorry.

I feel that I love the gran'ther so much that I have to think about I need to change my life style now. I need to enjoy my life and cherish what I have. Life is hard but yet it is lovely.
Former adult teacher who loves island beaches. Happy homebody and family man; once devoted dog owner, now without Tashi, my Tibetan Terrier. I prefer the absurdity of the imagination to the absurdity of imagining nothing.
