Here I Am

Write your version of "Here I Am" here as a comment to this post. Remember to follow the format of my examples exactly (use the same punctuation and word forms etc.).

I will provide my new version here as well.

NOTE: Be sure to post your "Here I Am" here as a comment and not to "post" to the blog.
Remember to bring a copy on paper to class for your performance. No need to double space your poem (either here or on paper). Good luck!

NOTE: Please check your formatting when pasting your poem. Poems should have a space between stanza one and stanza two; there is another space between stanza two and three. If you paste from word, you'll have to put them in manually. Otherwise, the poems are hard to read easily.

Love going to the park on the sunny days, walking around to have some fresh air (without thinking too much), sitting somewhere, looking at squirrels running to find some nuts, feeling that life is simple when we think it is simple.

Loved driving on my bike without destination to enjoy the night life, but it is not convenient to do that here. Loved taking a cup of coffee and watching romantic movies on Saturday morning, but I have to work to make a living.

Look at life as a new chapter; know that I have to work harder and harder to succeed in the road I chose.

Love waking up every day on a chilly morning, rolling under and over my comfy sheets, snuggling the warm hugs from my two beloved boys (with a heartfelt enthusiasm), giggling to each other until our tummy aches, feeling blissful of life’s spectacular blessings.

Loved the windows dressed in my mother’s matching curtains, but those are thousand miles away from me. Loved the vibrant plaid quilt my siblings used to cozily nestled at night, but now they are tucked somewhere in the attic.

Look at life as a safe home; comfort comes in different hues, shapes and patterns.

Love smelling the sweet fragrance of the moist soil at dawn, watching the sprouting grasses and budding wild flowers in the pathway, listening to the mellifluous songs of robins (without interrupting them), tasting a cup of green tea while the raindrops are knocking on the window, feeling the upcoming pace of another graceful spring.

Loved the carefree days I spent with my grandma, but she had passed away. Loved dreaming to get a desired career, but know the road is full of thorns.

Look at life as a silent river; accumulates the pleasure and sorrow deeply, while flows with hope and courage endlessly.
