Poetry, with laser-like efficiency, penetrates more deeply into my heart than any other literature. I love its unique ability to make me feel. Reading two or three poems a week is a balm for my soul. Without poetry, my life would be barren, my spirit unfed.

I have had very minimal experience with poetry, but I love the thought of being able to express your inner thoughts and feelings throughout your writing. Reading poetry helps put me in a very imaginary, peaceful place where I can learn to enjoy the simple things in life.

Poetry is a way of encountering and experiencing the truth in life and an ability to talk about your internal feeling freely. When I write a poem, I always speculate about all the emotions, love, and honesty that I share with my lover, and create a poem from all the pureness and beliefs in our relationship.

Poetry, I love every bit of it. In the past few years I’ve became a poetic “nerd.” I’ve been writing some, been reading many, its soulful words is very inspirational and changes the way you view things. Poetry has become one of the most must-do literature in English courses.

What I know about English poetry is Shakespeare’s sonnets. However, I like poetry because it is a best expression for people to remember forever. Every good poem can inspire me with courage and emotion, and I like its rhythm as if it were a wonderful song. Poetry is my favorite literature.

When I think about poetry wonderful memories dance in my mind recalling classic Italian poets. Poetry, a language made to infuse emotions: read slowly to not lose any flavour; known by heart to recall it whenever I wish but - more - given time to let it enter my soul.

I like poems. I began writing poetry in my teenage and read almost all Chinese Tang Poetry. I can still reel off many of them now since I always find new beauties in these classical poems. Yes, I am a lover of poetry.

For me Poetry is like a door into the fantastic world of feelings and imagines; and words are the keys, they open this gate by giving new beautiful names for casual things. I adore it but I am deprived the gift to create new doors. My poetries lay shyly in the back burner and I am only person who go through those gate.

My experience with poetry is mostly during school. I have taken Haiku, Tanka, and some poems which I don’t remember their names but if I see one I might know it. I have dissected Arabic poems into sections based on sound but I don’t enjoy it. I had memorized poems but I don’t remember them.

My personal experience with poetry started when I was a little girl. Growing up my parents would sing “itsy bitsy spider”, “twinkle twinkle little star” for all the kids to sleep. By far poetry has been with me since I was young, I’m a very avid dancer :music, rhythm and beats are the tunes to my feet.

Poetry is my new interest. Since last year, I have learned the unique way of poetry .It expresses concise thoughts and emotions through meaningful words like an artist painting a picture. Also, to write my own poems: “Here I am”, and “A Note” helped me to appreciate the beauty of poetry.

The Comets

I am always impressed with the poems. In my country, Iran , the poets couldn't express
their feelings directly which were the love, equality, freedom , and etc; therefore, revelation
of the words was really important to me . When I was a teenager , the poets were my heroes ,
and their words were the comets which enlightened the darkness !

In my heart there are two types of poetry. One type is the ancient Chinese Poetry with well formatted rhythm and full imaged watercolor paintings, which shows me the magic of Chinese literacy. The other type is English country and folk songs’ lyrics with rich emotion and love stories, which encompasses more cultural background and life style.

I have had extremely positive experiences with poetry. I may not be knowledgeable when it comes to the different types of poetry, but I still write stuff that rhymes. Its very cathartic to me, I feel I can express myself in ways that regular writing can not permit.

Poetry is another form of language that can express ideas that no other form can, striking deep into one’s heart and mind. I love poetry because it holds wide spectrum of views with its thick layers of meaning which makes it enjoyable to read for people of different minds.

I have had very little experience with poetry. Beyond the compulsory poetry that I have done in previous English classes, I have seen only a few poems. These were all pieces that I saw as a child and were designed to be entertaining and funny.

Poetry is completely unfamiliar literary genre to me. But, one time, a line of poetry became a source of motivation when I needed courage to overcome difficulties. A short two-stanza poem seemed to have a greater power than any other grandiose books. Its concentrated words enabled express a lot of emotion and ideas.

Poetry experience
Poetry is full of emotions and meanings. In my native language (Dari) it is extremely difficult to create a poem; however, there are no rules for writing them. I have done some poetry in grade twelve and I loved it. Every time I write one, I always go to a silent room and let my emotions free.

Most of my experience with poetry comes from school, mainly from Literature class. I did not like it much because we had to analyze those poems and know what is typical for that author. Then we started free-verse poetry and I wrote a poem just for me. To me, poetry is emotions on paper.

The only experience with poetry that I have had resolves in the past when I was in high school. Through those high school days poetry was never my strongest in class, it was always the point where my grades would decrease unfortuently. The one plus side with poetry though is that I found it an easy to express ones feelings or thoughts.
